Goodyear is one of the leading tire manufacturers in the world, with nearly 68,000 employees and 51 factories spread across 19 countries.
The group has set an ambitious goal: to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2040 across all of its production sites. As part of this strategy, Goodyear has partnered with EDP-Enerdeal to deploy a large-scale solar installation at its site in Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg, which houses both a production facility and an innovation center.
The project, inaugurated in November 2025, includes 5 MWp of rooftop solar panels on the factory and the innovation center, as well as 2 MWp of photovoltaic carport. In total, 7 MWp of installed capacity will generate approximately 6.5 GWh of renewable electricity per year, consumed directly on-site.

Coenegrachts Substrate is a global supplier of premium quality mushroom compost, based in Riemst, in northern Belgium.
In the first phase, the company installed 1 MWp of photovoltaic panels.
Ten years later, considering the decrease in the price of solar panels and the increase in electricity prices, Coenegrachts decided to call on EDP-Enerdeal to complete the installation by equipping all the north-facing roofs. This extension also presented a real interest in terms of attractive profitability and further strengthened the company's ecological image with its clients located around the world.
The total installed capacity now reaches 1.9 MWp, with a "flush" mounting system on a sloped metal deck roof.

Northfreeze Baron van Loolaan is a Belgian group specialised in the storage, transport and distribution of chilled, frozen and dry goods. Long established in the North Sea Port, in Evergem, it is now part of CubeCold, a pan-European cold storage platform.
Its new Evergem warehouse was designed to reduce its carbon footprint and is targeting BREEAM "Excellent" certification. A rooftop solar installation directly powers the site's cooling needs, a major energy load for this type of activity.ommation majeur pour ce type d'activité.
Northfreeze called on EDP-Enerdeal to deploy this installation, which totals 2.2 MWp across 4,180 panels and 12 inverters.
The project called for close coordination: securing approval of the plans and safety measures across several parties, working in the immediate vicinity of a high-voltage line, and installing the system while the building was still under construction.

INEOS Oligomers is a division of the international chemical group INEOS, specializing in the production of polyalphaolefins (PAO) and other specialty chemicals used in lubricants, plastics, and adhesives.
As part of its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint, the production site in Feluy, Belgium, has turned to EDP-Enerdeal to develop a customized solar solution.
The picture above illustrates the installation carried out by EDP-Enerdeal: a ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant of 3.8 MWp deployed over approximately 2 hectares, directly connected to the factory. Despite challenging winter conditions and strict safety regulations, the project was erected and commissioned in just 4 months. The electricity produced is entirely self-consumed on-site, allowing for an estimated reduction in CO₂ emissions of about 800 tons per year.

Solarwind is the name of this particularly pioneering office building, the first of its kind in Luxembourg since 2012, featuring a triple environmental certification (HQE, BREEAM, DGNB).
Equipped with photovoltaic panels on the facade, wind turbines, and solar thermal collectors on the roof, as well as geothermal energy in the basement, the goal of the developer and owner of the building was to create a strong appeal for green and clean offices, in line with the growing demand from interested tenants.
The result is particularly interesting: an occupancy rate significantly higher than that of neighboring buildings, accompanied by premium rents, thus allowing for both the profitability of the installed renewable energy systems and the rental appreciation of the offices.
EDP-Enerdeal installed photovoltaic structures serving as sunshades on the south-facing facade, simultaneously providing shade for the offices (which do not require or have air conditioning) and generating free renewable electricity.

Guardian Glass is a global player in the glass industry, providing solutions for building and automotive applications worldwide.
Committed to an environmental responsibility approach, the group chose EDP-Enerdeal following an international tender to carry out its very first solar project. This collaboration marks a key milestone in Guardian Glass's decarbonization strategy, in line with European objectives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% by 2030.
The picture illustrates the installation carried out by EDP-Enerdeal at the Bascharage site in Luxembourg: a rooftop photovoltaic power plant with a capacity of 5 MWc, consisting of nearly 12,000 solar panels. The electricity produced is entirely self-consumed on-site, allowing for an estimated reduction in CO₂ emissions of about 1,400 tons per year.

Often faced with public tenders from cities increasingly demanding fully electric buses, the company has adopted a strategy to operate a 100% electric fleet (over 700 coaches) by 2030. This therefore requires a considerable amount of electricity (both green and at a secured fixed price), as well as hundreds of fast charging stations distributed across various depots in the area.
Considering the limited capacities of the grid, several large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects have been planned as integrated solutions combining solar power, fast charging, variable electricity prices from the grid, all managed by dedicated energy management systems (EMS).

has been awarded five solar projects to be installed in remote areas of Madagascar, following an international public tender.
The total installed capacity is 5 MWp. All sites were built by our teams and hybridized with existing diesel generators.
One of the sites is also equipped with a large-capacity battery energy storage system (BESS).
The major feature of this project lay in extremely strong logistical constraints, related to the scarcity of local resources and the lack of on-site experience. Furthermore, the region is regularly affected by several cyclones each year, which required very specific design and validation of the mounting systems.
All the sites are now operational and managed by our local partner, the Henri Fraise group. The photo presented pertains to the site in Nosy Be, located in the north of the country.
Autajon is an international group specialized in the design and manufacturing of packaging and labels for the luxury, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and agri-food industries.
Present in over 40 production sites around the world, the group is actively committed to reducing its environmental footprint. As part of this strategy, the Belgian site in Arlon has called upon EDP-Enerdeal for the installation of a rooftop photovoltaic power plant.
The picture above illustrates the installation carried out by EDP-Enerdeal: 579 kWp of solar panels, financed through third-party investment, allowing the production site to cover a significant portion of its energy needs with locally produced green electricity.
The Eurofoil plant in Dudelange, located in Luxembourg, is one of the two Eurofoil Aluminium plants.
EDP-Enerdeal has installed solar panels on all available surfaces of their facilities, which allows for the production of the equivalent of the annual energy consumption of 800 households.
The project is an investment made by a third party.
The main objective of the Biohealth parking project was to integrate solar energy and electromobility through the installation of a photovoltaic roof covering the top level of the car park.
With a capacity of 286 kWp, the solar roof primarily protects the top parking level from the sun, thereby improving user comfort.
The electricity produced is used to power electric vehicle charging stations, supporting the development of electromobility on the site.
The solar power plant of the Monnet Innovation Center in Louvain-la-Neuve.
This project is one of the largest solar power plants in Walloon Brabant. It has an installed capacity of 1 MWp (10,000 m², 2,500 solar panels) and produces approximately 900 MWh per year, which corresponds to nearly 420 tons of CO₂ saved each year, equivalent to the consumption of about 200 households or the equivalent of 4.5 million (!) kilometers traveled in an electric car.
This project was financed by Smart Energy Invest 2, our joint venture with in BW and BW-Invest, which aims to offer third-party investments in solar energy in Walloon Brabant.
FACQ is a Belgian distributor of sanitary equipment with over 40 stores and warehouses across the country.
Concerned about reducing its energy consumption, both for its own needs and as part of a commitment to set an example for its clients, FACQ has signed a framework agreement with EDP-Enerdeal aimed at equipping the majority of its large buildings with solar panels, as part of a direct investment.
As of today, more than 25 sites across the country have been equipped, representing nearly 4 MWp of installed capacity.
Delhaize Group is a major player in the retail sector in Belgium.
As part of its sustainable development strategy, the group has called on EDP-Enerdeal to equip more than 30 sites with solar panels across the country: AD Delhaize supermarkets, Proxy Delhaize, and distribution centers.
The photo above shows one of the installations carried out by EDP-Enerdeal on the roofs of the Delhaize network, illustrating a large-scale, multi-site roll-out that enables the group to generate a significant proportion of its electricity locally and sustainably.
BMW is a world-renowned automobile manufacturer, represented in Belgium by the Ginion Group dealership network.
As part of their commitment to sustainability, EDP-Enerdeal has been supporting BMW since 2016 through a long-term partnership. The first installation, financed by EDP-Enerdeal through third-party investment, was followed by a rollout across the entire Ginion network.
In total, 7 sites have been equipped with rooftop solar panels, representing a combined capacity of over 1.3 MWp and allowing the concessions to locally produce green and competitive electricity.
The City of Differdange is a pioneering municipality in the energy transition, in southern Luxembourg.
Committed to a carbon-neutrality pathway, it is the only Luxembourg municipality selected for the European Net Zero Cities programme and aims to achieve energy autonomy by 2030. Having already fitted several of its municipal buildings with solar power, it extended its approach to its parking areas.
The Woiwer municipal car park, covering around one hundred spaces, was fitted with photovoltaic carport, producing local, renewable electricity without using a single additional square metre of land, while sheltering the parked vehicles.
The photo above shows the installation carried out by EDP-Enerdeal: a photovoltaic carport with an installed capacity of around 300 kWp, in a single-slope steel structure, generating the equivalent of the annual consumption of 75 to 100 households.
Ceratizit is a global leader in the carbide industry, based in Mamer, Luxembourg.
The company develops and produces highly specialized cutting tools, removable inserts, carbide bars, and wear parts for numerous industrial sectors: machine construction, automotive, aerospace, oil and gas, and medical. With over 8,000 employees spread across 30 production sites and a network of 50 subsidiaries worldwide, Ceratizit has set an ambitious goal: to become CO₂ neutral by 2025 and achieve "net zero" by 2040.
As part of this environmental strategy, the company aimed to maximize its solar potential by utilizing the available parking spaces at its Luxembourg site. Thus, the largest solar carport in Luxembourg was created, allowing for the production of green electricity while providing protection for employees' vehicles.
The photo above shows the installation carried out by EDP-Enerdeal: a photovoltaic carport with a capacity of 1,320 kWp, generating an annual production of 1.3 GWh of sustainable electricity — equivalent to the consumption of 415 households or 650 tons of CO₂ avoided each year.
Knauf Shopping Schmiede is a shopping centre in the north of Luxembourg, in Schmiede (Huldange), close to the Belgian border. It brings together more than 40 stores and a 950 space car park. To reduce its energy costs and green its electricity supply, the site turned its available roof surfaces into a source of on-site renewable power.
Enerdeal designed and built a rooftop solar power station of 887 kWp. Because the roofs varied in structure and stability requirements, the main engineering challenge was to combine these different surfaces into one coherent, safe installation, while coordinating the works with a shopping centre in full operation, where parking access and on-site safety had to be planned carefully.
The plant comprises 2,113 JA Solar modules and 5 Sungrow inverters, generating close to 799 MWh of green electricity each year.

Atlantic, a specialist in heating and domestic hot water (HVAC), operates an industrial site in Seneffe, in Wallonia, Belgium.
To control its energy costs and green its supply, the company chose to generate renewable electricity directly on its site.
A rooftop solar plant was installed there. Numerous skylights, the required safety distances and roof sections of differing orientations made the engineering complex, a challenge handled by the teams.
The installation carried out by EDP-Enerdeal is a rooftop solar plant of nearly 860 kWp (1,638 modules, 5 inverters), with an estimated annual output of around 754 MWh of renewable electricity.
